At SCAN, we empower beauty professionals to save lives in their everyday profession. WIth our specialized training, hairstylists and estheticians can spot potential signs of skin cancer and guide their clients to licensed dermatologists for timely diagnosis and treatment.

Our Founders Story

Without the help of his hairdresser, Debbie Gale, Steve would have been unaware of the melanoma growing in silence on his scalp. Inspired by his own experience, Steve piloted a program to train beauty professionals at beauty schools in Utah on how to spot potentially dangerous skin lesions and refer their clients to certified dermatologists. Steve is on a mission to extend the program to as many beauty professionals as possible. Through this initiative, Steve hopes to make a significant impact in detecting skin cancer early and save lives.
